Biovita coconut chips / coconut chips are a natural product resulting from the fragmentation of coconut shells and coconut fibers. It does not contain any chemical additives.
It can be used as an independent substrate or as an addition to other substrates. Mix with soil, loosen and aerate.
Chips and coir are used e.g. as a substrate in terrariums, aquariums, indoor plants. Coconut shavings are an ideal and recommended substrate for growing orchids.
Advantages:
-they are lighter than peat,
- absorbs water well (regulates water management, coconut fibers act like a sponge),
- absorbs nutrients well with water and gradually releases them,
- to promote root development.
Coconut flakes themselves do not contain too many nutrients, so if they are used for growing plants, it is recommended to combine them with organic fertilizers.
🌡️ COLD TIME! If the outside temperature is below +5°C, be sure to add a heat pack to the order so that plants and predatory mites do not freeze on the way.
⚠️ Important about the heating element! ‼️ 1 heating element per 1 order – it is not necessary to put one for each plant. ‼️ Provides heat for up to 72 hours. Without a heating element – we do not take responsibility for frozen plants and predatory mites.
📦 Pick up on time! When the package is delivered, pick it up the same day. Do not leave the package in the parcel locker overnight! Cold can damage plants and predatory mites.
